Latest KCET 2020 – Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced KCET 2020 exam dates. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is scheduled on April 22 and 23, 2020. Whereas, the Kannada languages test is on April 24, 2020.
KEA has also announced the examination schedule for KCET 2020 and it is as follows:

KCET – 2020 Exam Pattern
Here we have mentioned details about KCET 2020 exam pattern:
- Type of Questions: There will be multiple choice questions asked in the exam.
- Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through pen and paper based mode in OMR pattern.
- Answering Mode: Candidates must use blue/black ball point pen to answer.
- Marking Scheme: Each question will contain one mark. No marks will be given in case of multiple answers for the same question.
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking done for the wrong answers.

- KANNADA LANGUAGE TEST: The candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA as per the above schedule only in Bangalore Centres; therefore such candidates will have to appear for the ‘Common Entrance Test – 2020’ in a test centre located at BANGALORE Only. The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of Kannada Language Test.
- The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2020. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4th Standard Level)
- However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates (including clause ‘n’) who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.

KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Here we are providing the eligibility criteria of various courses offered under KCET exam:

KCET 2020 Syllabus
- The syllabus will be based on the first and second PUC syllabus notified by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
- It will comprise of physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology subjects.
- Students should prepare for the exam as per the syllabus prescribed for their course.
KCET 2020 Application Fees
- Application fee payment will be done through offline mode (bank Challan).
- Candidates residing outside India can pay the fee through DD drawn in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority payable at Bangalore.
- DD should be sent to KEA address mentioning the application number.

KCET 2020 Application Process

KEA has released the application form of KCET 2020 in online mode for various courses on February 1, 2020. Students will be able to fill the online application form till February 28. Before filling the KCET 2020 application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authority. The application form of KCET 2020 is available only in online mode and is not available in pen and paper form. Candidates are advised to keep ready all details ready such as valid email ID, phone number personal, contact and educational details etc. to fill Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2020 application form. Steps to fill the application form is given below:
Step 1: Registration – Candidates have to click “ New User? Click Here to Register” to start the online application process. Enter all required details and click on submit button. An application number and User ID will be displayed on the screen and also sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 2: Enter login and personal details – Candidates have to enter login credentials (User ID and password) on the login page. After login, a student information page will be displayed where candidates have to enter the details such as nationality, caste, category, academic, contact, previous KCET examination (if any), school details etc.
Step 3: Uploading of candidate’s photograph, Left Hand Thumb Impression (LHT) and signature along with parents’ signature – Upload the required images as per prescribed dimensions and size.

Step 4: Payment of application fees – After uploading the images, candidates must pay the application fees as per their category through online or offline modes.
Step 5: Printout of KCET 2020 application form – After payment of fees, candidates have to take a printout of the filled in KCET application form in A4 size paper and affix the following documents:
i) Candidate’s recent photograph
ii) Signature
ii) Left-hand thumb impression
Candidates have to take principal/gazetted officer’s signature and seal of their respective college board or equivalent and the original application form should be produced at the time of document verification during KCET counselling.
Candidates are advised to keep safely 2 to 3 photocopies of the application form for future admission process

KCET Admit Card 2020
Students will be able to get the KCET hall ticket 2020 through online mode only. It will be provided from 16th April 2020.
Candidates have to carry the admit card along with any of the ID proof like Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, College ID Card or 12th exam admission ticket/bus pass.
KCET Answer Key 2020
After the completion of examination, the authority will release the provisional answer key. Karnataka CET answer key 2020 will be available via online mode.
Students will be able to file their objection addressed to the “Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore” either in person or via speed post. The final answer key will be published along with result.
