The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country. The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) for admission to IITs will be conducted on August 23, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced on Thursday. The exam was scheduled to be held on May 17 but had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. JEE Main 2020 would be conducted from July 18 to July 23. NEET 2020 on July 26 & JEE Main to begin on July 18 : HRD Minister

Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday announced the dates for JEE Main and NEET exams. JEE Main will be held from July 18 to July 23 while medical entrance test will be conducted on July 26. JEE Advanced is expected to be held in August, dates of which are not decided yet. Dates for submission of online applications for NTA exams extended for J-K, Ladakh candidates

National Testing Agency has extended the date of online application form for JEE Mains 2020 for candidates from Jammu,Kashmir and Ladakh to November 8, 2019. Candidates from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, interested and eligible for the examination can apply online at, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application window will remain open till November 8, 2019.
