JEE 2020 Fresh Exam Date
Successfully registered candidates will be issued their JEE 2020 Admit Card from the official National Testing Agency website. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the exam center, without which you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Latest Sample Questions for Section on PLANNING
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE (Main)-2020 Examination twice for admission to Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), etc. in the next academic year (2020-2021). The First JEE(Main)-2020 will be conducted in January 2020 between 6th January (Monday) and 11th January (Saturday) 2020 and the Second JEE(Main)-2020 will be conducted between 3rd April (Friday) and 9th April (Thursday) 2020.
About JEE (Main) – 2020
The JEE (Main)-2020 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session. The students will have following benefits of the new pattern:
- This will give one more opportunity to the students to improve their scores in examination if they fail to give their best in first attempt without wasting their whole academic year.
- In first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and to know
their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time. - This will reduce chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.
- If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control, then he/she won’t have to wait for one full year.
- The student’s best of the two NTA scores will be
- considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

Mode of Examination
JEE (Main)-2020 will be conducted in the following modes:
a) B.E. /B. Tech. in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
b) B. Arch: Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
c) B.Planning : Mathematics- Part I , Aptitude Test-Part II and Planning Based Questions Part III in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only
Choice of Medium of Question Papers
The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi and Gujarati. The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
Please note that for correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as final.

Eligibility for appearing in JEE (Main) – 2020
The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2020 are as follows:
Academic Qualification
- The candidates must have passed class 12th in 2018 or 2019
- The candidates who are going to appear for the class 12th exam in the year 2020 can also apply.
- For B.Tech/BE, the candidate must have studied Maths, Physics and any one of chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects at the class 12th level
- For B.Arch. / B. Planning, the candidate must have studied Mathematics at class 12th.
Age Limit
For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed class 12th / equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2020. The candidates should also satisfy themselves about their fulfilling the age limit requirements of the Institutes in which they are desirous of taking admission.
No. of Subject in the Qualifying exam
Candidates need to take at least 5 subjects in class 12th or qualifying examination in order to become eligible for taking JEE Main 2020. Candidates with four subject are restricted to write the exam.
Eligibility for Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board)
It is compulsory to secure minimum 75% marks in class 12th examination or be in the 20 percentile in the 12th class examination organized by the respective Boards. This criterion is 65% for SC/ST category candidates.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to other institutions
The aforesaid policy can be adopted by other technical institutes participating in counselling organized through JoSAA/CSAB. If a state wants to admit students in the engineering colleges having affiliation from State Universities, the state may craft a separate merit list according to the criteria added by them.

Type of Question
JEE Main Earlier consisted of only Multiple Choice Questions. From this year onwards, NTA has added another type of question in the examination pattern. Namely Numerical Value Type. JEE Main 2020 Syllabus
JEE Main 2020 is an important exam for the students who wish to take admissions to the prestigious engineering colleges across India. JEE Main 2020 Answer Key
JEE Main Answer Key is released by NTA for the online computer based exam. It shall be uploaded on the official website of NTA only. The students who are not satisfied with the answers can challenge it. To do so, they will have to raise the challenge on the official website. The payment for the exam can be done in both the online and offline manner. Candidates have to ensure that they make the payments before the deadline. After the deadline, no requests for the challenge will be answered by the student. The final answer key for JEE Main 2020 shall be released after all the challenges have been accepted by the students.
JEE Main 2020 Result
The result of JEE Main 2020 will be declared after the challenges have been accepted by the students and the final answer key has been released. It shall be released on the official website of the NTA since it shall be the conducting body. The result will contain the score and rank of the candidate which they have secured in the Paper 1 of JEE Main 2020 Exam.
It will also contain the information that whether the candidate is eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2020 Exam or not. Rank will contain The rank shall contain All India rank and All India category rank. For the admission purpose, All India Rank (AIR) shall be used. One important thing which the candidates must definitely keep in mind is that the rank card will not be dispatched to the candidates.
JEE Main 2020 Counselling
Through the JEE Main 2020 Score, admissions will be conducted to all the NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Apart from these, the admissions to the various state engineering colleges might be conducted through the JEE Main 2020 Score as well. The counselling shall be conducted by the JoSaa/CSAB.
In the counselling, the student will have to fill in information as asked like the name, address, choices for the colleges etc. Also, they will have to pay the fee for the registration as given at the time of the payment for the counselling. The eligible students can visit the official website for the counselling to know all the details about the counselling for JEE Main 2020.
