  • Sir Richard Branson to make spaceflight

    He’ll be a passenger in the back of the Unity rocket plane his Virgin Galactic company has been developing in the US. The vehicle can climb to an altitude of 90km (295,000ft), giving those onboard a few minutes of weightlessness and a view of the curvature of the Earth. (Source: bbc.com)

  • ZyCov-D the world’s first DNA vaccine against COVID
    ZyCov-D is a “plasmid DNA” vaccine (by Zydus Cadila )— a vaccine that uses a genetically engineered, non-replicating version of a type of DNA molecule known as a ‘plasmid’. ZyCov-D has been developed with the support of the central government’s Department of Biotechnology and the Indian Council of Medical Research. (Source: The Indian Express)
  • LiDAR survey
    Govt launches LiDAR survey reports to augment water in forest areas. The LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology was used to create 3-D images of the project areas to recommend soil and water conservation structures. (Source: The Indian Express)

    Windows 11 will be a major release of the Windows NT operating system created and developed by Microsoft. Announced on June 24, 2021
    Windows 11 will require Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake or Zen 2 CPUs and up, TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) support, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
