KCET 2019 Application Form has been released. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is a state level examination also called as Karnataka CET. It will be regulated by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Through KCET exam, students will get admission in engineering, technology, pharmacy and various other courses. Admission in MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses will be done through NEET scores. NATA scores will be accepted for admission in B.Arch courses. KCET – 2019 Exam pattern

Here we have mentioned details about KCET 2019 exam pattern:

  • Type of Questions: There will be multiple choice questions asked in the exam.
  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through pen and paper based mode in OMR pattern.
  • Answering Mode: Candidates must use blue/black ball point pen to answer.
  • Marking Scheme: Each question will contain one mark. No marks will be given in case of multiple answers for the same question.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking done for the wrong answers.

  • KANNADA LANGUAGE TEST: The candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA as per the above schedule only in Bangalore Centres; therefore such candidates will have to appear for the ‘Common Entrance Test – 2019’ in a test centre located at BANGALORE Only. The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of Kannada Language Test.
  • The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2019. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4th Standard Level)
  • However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates (including clause ‘n’) who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.

KCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Here we are providing the eligibility criteria of various courses offered under KCET exam:

BE/B.Tech Passed 2nd PUC, 12th or equivalent exam.
Must have Physics, Mathematics, English along with Chemistry/Bio-technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer subjects.
Must have obtained 45% (40% for reserved categories) in the above mentioned subjects.
B.Pharm Passed 2nd PUC, 12th or equivalent exam with PCM or PCB group.
Should have secured 45% (40% for reserved categories) in the PCM or PCB group.
Diploma in Pharmacy candidates can also apply.
MBBS/BDS 2nd PUC, 12th or equivalent exam passed with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
Minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the PCB group.
Must have qualified NEET 2019 entrance test.
B.Arch 2nd PUC, 12th or equivalent exam passed with Mathematics subject.
Minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).
Should have a valid NATA score card.
Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga Passed 2nd PUC, 12th or equivalent exam with PCB and English subjects.

KCET 2019  Syllabus

  • The syllabus will be based on the first and second PUC syllabus notified by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
  • It will comprise of physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology subjects.
  • Students should prepare for the exam as per the syllabus prescribed for their course.

KCET 2019 Application Fees

  • Application fee payment will be done through offline mode (bank Challan).
  • Candidates residing outside India can pay the fee through DD drawn in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority payable at Bangalore.
  • DD should be sent to KEA address mentioning the application number.
  • The application fee for various categories is mentioned below:

KCET 2019 Application Process

KEA has released the application form of KCET 2019 in online mode for various courses on February 1, 2019. Students will be able to fill the online application form till February 28. Before filling the KCET 2019 application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authority. The application form of KCET 2019 is available only in online mode and is not available in pen and paper form. Candidates are advised to keep ready all details ready such as valid email ID, phone number personal, contact and educational details etc. to fill  Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2019 application form. Steps to fill the application form is given below:

Step 1: Registration – Candidates have to click “ New User? Click Here to Register” to start the online application process. Enter all required details and click on submit button. An application number and User ID will be displayed on the screen and also sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 2: Enter login and personal details – Candidates have to enter login credentials (User ID and password) on the login page. After login, a student information page will be displayed where candidates have to enter the details such as nationality, caste, category, academic, contact, previous KCET examination (if any), school details etc.

Step 3: Uploading of candidate’s photograph, Left Hand Thumb Impression (LHT) and signature along with parents’ signature – Upload the required images as per prescribed dimensions and size.

Step 4: Payment of application fees – After uploading the images, candidates must pay the application fees as per their category through online or offline modes.

Step 5: Printout of KCET 2019 application form – After payment of fees, candidates have to take a printout of the filled in KCET application form in A4 size paper and affix the following documents:

i) Candidate’s recent photograph

ii) Signature

ii) Left-hand thumb impression

Candidates have to take principal/gazetted officer’s signature and seal of their respective college board or equivalent and the original application form should be produced at the time of document verification during KCET counselling.

Candidates are advised to keep safely 2 to 3 photocopies of the application form for future admission process

KCET Admit Card 2019

Students will be able to get the KCET hall ticket 2019 through online mode only. It will be provided from 16th April 2019.

Candidates have to carry the admit card along with any of the ID proof like Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, College ID Card or 12th exam admission ticket/bus pass.

KCET Answer Key 2019

After the completion of examination, the authority will release the provisional answer key. Karnataka CET answer key 2019 will be available via online mode.

Students will be able to file their objection addressed to the “Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore” either in person or via speed post. The final answer key will be published along with result.

KCET 2019 Results

Students who will appear in the exam can check the Karnataka CET results 2019 through the website. Candidates will be able to check the KCET result 2019 by entering their registration number.

Any objections regarding discrepancies in the result sheets should be submitted within three days from the date of publication of result. Any requests for re-totaling or revaluation of the answer sheets will not be entertained.

KCET Counselling 2019

Merit list will be prepared separately for all courses. Students will be able to participate in the KCET counselling 2019 as per their rank.

The counselling process will be organized in different rounds as per the vacant seats. It will be organized through online mode.

Karnataka CET counselling has been divided into various steps like document verification, option entry, seat allotment, seat confirmation and reporting to the allotted college.

Firstly, candidates have to report for the document verification. After that, students have to fill their choices of colleges and courses for admission. On the basis of filled choices, rank, category and availability of seat, seats will be allotted to candidates. Students have to report to the allotted college with the required documents and fees for further admission process.
